the way I feel about "true" love and marriage.
Especially if it has lasted nearly half
a century.

my husband and me taken several years ago.
I love the beach and we go there often. Our
marriage will see it's 45th anniversary this year.
We dated 2 years prior to getting married, seeing
each other on a daily basis at school if not out on
a date. Therefore, I am doing this page for the man
I have spent the great majority of my life with,
and for the love I believe we will share eternally.
I believe that we will truly, "never say goodbye".

over the years. I thought I knew what love was
when we were dating, then engaged and married.
We started a life as only the very young can, full of love,
hope and energy for our future. It has been quite
a ride my love, thank you for the wonderful times,
for the love you gave always and especially when I
needed you so desperately. You always seem
to know "when" I need you with me and you are
here. I hope I have done the same for you,
I have tried and believe you would say the same.
I know, ours is a love that is real, and after all this
time together, we know the very thoughts of each other.
Now, years later, knowing and understanding the real
meaning of love, marriage and commitment, I look back
with the realization that we were only breaking the surface
of 'love' in those first years. Our love has grown
with each passing year. This is for "you" my husband
it is for me, "for us". I pray we have many more years
to look back on with pleasure, knowing we have lived our best,
have loved faithfully. As the ocean goes on and on eternally,
so will we, together in spirit always, we shall "ride the waves".
